It is crucial to have proper light color for coloring hair. If there is an orange wall near you for example, it reflects orange light onto you and distorts the true colors. The lighting design was central to the project for that reason. Plus there must be enough light so both the stylist and the client can see what's happening. My ideas for Ultra emerged from thinking about hair, color, and light.
