Mitchell-Innes & Nash, an Upper East Side gallery, wanted to open a second space in Chelsea. This new space is bigger than the uptown space, giving them the opportunity to display larger works of art. The previous gallery in this location was gutted and we built an entirely new layout. The goal was to build a gallery that was a peaceful respite from the outside world, with as little as possible to distract from the art.
